Is Hell Real?

In a newspaper editorial discussing the pros and cons of Halloween and the growing Christian opposition to that holiday, the writer stated,
“Oddly enough, it’s usually the strict Christians who are true devil-believers… It takes an ignorant adult to poison their [the children’s] minds with belief in an actual devil.”
Such a view at most is based on naturalistic presuppositions. It cannot be held on any scientific basis, of course, and it finds no footing in the facts of history. It is certainly not the view of the Bible. According to the Bible, Jesus Himself had a personal face-off with the devil while here on earth (Mat. 4:1-11). Jesus believed in a real devil (Luke 10:18; John 8:44). The Bible has much to say about Satan as a real and active personage (Acts 5:3; 2 Cor. 4:3,4; 11:14; 1 The. 2:18; 1 Pet. 5:8; Rev. 12:9).
Though one may “omnisciently” assert there is no devil, such a position is not possible on Biblical grounds, or even in light of the obvious facts of history. Satan exists. He has blinded the eyes of the world (2 Cor: 4:4), not only to the existence of the Savior, but to his own existence. He substitutes gods of “light” and religions of “righteousness” (2 Cor. 11:13-15). These are destined to fulfill the latter-day prophecies of false Christs and false prophets who will lead many astray (Mat. 24:24; 2 The. 2:8-10).
It is a real Satan who raises up the Antichrist as the embodiment of all of history’s great evil-doers. It is a real Satan who operates as his shadowy mentor. If anyone should doubt that this place of “outer darkness” (Mat. 8:12) is really a place of conscious existence in eternal torment, let him note the occupants who are there to greet Satan — the Antichrist and the False Prophet are still there after 1000 years (Rev. 19:20; 20:10)! Just as life is eternal in Heaven, so is punishment eternal in Hell (Mat. 25.46), where “the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever” (Rev. 14:11).
»>Who Wants To Go To Hell? It Takes One-Minute To Stay Out!
ONE STEP—ONE MINUTE
The bottom line for your life is your relationship with Jesus Christ; that decides everything for you. As Bible prophecy indicates, the time is near, the hour is late. But it takes less than a minute to receive Jesus Christ as your Savior.
Yes, All Of Us!
The fact is, we have all sinned and stand guilty before God (Rom. 3:23). There are no exceptions (Rom. 3:10). We cannot save ourselves (GaL 2:16). Therefore, we need a savior, and there is only one - Jesus - and no other (John 14:6; Acts 4:12).
Yes, He Will Do It In Less Than A Minute!
Jesus died for our sins, and gives us eternal life at no cost - freely - if we believe and ask (Rom. 10:9; Eph. 2:8,9). Turn your heart toward Jesus now, and simply ask Him to save you from your sins. If, at 11:30 a.m., you do this from your heart, before 11:31 a.m. you will have eternal life in Jesus Christ, the Son of God (I John 5:13). Contact Me About Your New Decision!
